Tycho and Sea Lemon dropped a dreamy ambient single this week, “Anotherwave”. The two West coast-based artists teamed up after Tycho’s Scott Hansen said he heard Sea Lemon, a.k.a Natalie Lew, on the radio while driving late at night. “I was driving through, like the Central Valley and, and Eraser came on and I was just like, what is this?” said Hansen, in a Instagram Live conversation about the song on Wednesday.

By July 15, Nina Protocol will shut down. For those who never came across it, Nina is a free and independent music platform launched in 2021 as an alternative to the increasingly standardised world of music streaming. While most platforms compete on scale, convenience and algorithmic efficiency, Nina focused on something else entirely: direct support for artists, niche music communities, and genuine and human discovery.

The Avalanches and Jamie xx came together again this week and gave us a taste of summer with a new track, “Every Single Weekend.” The plunderphonic pioneers and English producer skillfully weaved together a beautifully upbeat song, alongside a satirical beverage ad video (produced by Jonathan Zawada). If the single sounds familiar, that’s because it was originally was featured as an interlude on Jamie’s 2024 release, In Waves. They also collaborated on “All You Children” on the album.

Fight Bite merges lush, airy atmospheres with delicate, layered vocals, creating an otherworldly dream pop sound that will appeal to fans of Mazzy Star and David Lynch. Though separated by nearly 3,000 kilometers (Jeff Louis is based in Austin and Leanne Macomber in Philadelphia), their creative connection remains undeniable. Across that distance, the pair maintain their gauzy synth textures, drum machine pulse, and intimate emotional tone.

bby3ksn7 might be a new name, but Charles Teiller has already been part of our musical landscape for a while. You may know him as one third of Planet1999, a band we regularly featured on HighClouds and in our playlists around 2020, right as they were becoming one of the most distinctive names – and the only band – orbiting the PC Music universe.

O Slow is the project of Jacqui Miranda, a Brooklyn based multi instrumentalist originally from the farmlands of Central California. Before finding her way into New York’s music scene, she grew up around performance in a very unusual context, spending her early years in a charismatic cult where art first revealed its strange pull. In 2025, she released her Night Shine, Through Me EP, featuring the hypnotic “Every Time You Come Back, You Come Colder”.

Born and raised in New York City, Jill Blutt makes music for the hours when the night has not quite ended and the day has not fully begun. An artist, songwriter, and producer, she has a real ear for atmosphere, letting dreamy textures and electronic haze drift through songs that feel intimate, restless, and softly glowing. There is also something refreshingly down to earth about the way she presents herself, someone drawn to simple pleasures, late nights, and loud music.

French artist Manon Guiol has found a beautifully personal new shape with Monde Ray, her solo project born after years of making music, from classical piano lessons to electronic production, and later live performances with Tender Tones in Paris. After moving south in 2023, she opened a new chapter, one guided by light, space and renewal. This new music outlet is an intimate world of synth pop, darkwave and EBM, where soft vocals drift through dreamy atmospheres and shadowy textures.

mikey are one of the Copenhagen names that recently landed on our radar. Led by Maiken Rask and Henrik Petersen, the duo write, produce, mix and release their melancholic alt pop from a small studio, where they keep things intimate and instinctive. After introducing themselves with “don’t wait” in March 2025, they released their debut EP first notes earlier this year, and they’re now already moving into a new era with their latest offering.

Pearly Drops are not quite done living inside the strange little universe of The Voices Are Coming Back. The Helsinki duo have announced The Voices Became Louder, a deluxe version of their last album, out July 17, 2026 via Music Website. Instead of simply tacking on a few extras, Sandra Tervonen and Juuso Malin have invited a whole group of artists into the story, including Night Tapes, 8485, ultra caro, ELOI, Namasenda, DJ_Dave, BODUR, Paul Maxwell, and RIP Swirl.
