RAEFORD, N.C. – A game-winning field goal with seconds remaining was enough to give the Hoke County Bucks a come-from-behind 25-24 win to stun the Seventy-First Falcons and give head coach Duran McLaurin his first victory over his former squad at home Friday night. One last attempt to secure the win, the Bucks (2-1 overall) turned to their kicker Urijah Jones with just 4.2 seconds remaining. Jones lined up for a 40-yard attempt and nailed it to give the Bucks the 25-24 lead.
Treadway, Pruitt help Oak Grove pull away from Davie County
FARMINGTON, N.C. – Oak Grove senior quarterback Grayson Treadway scored six total touchdowns to lead the Grizzlies to a 40-23 win over Davie County at War Eagle Stadium. Treadway threw four touchdown passes to three different receivers and rushed for two more, helping Oak Grove earn its third win of the 2026 campaign. The Grizzlies have scored at least 40 points in each of their three victories -- 52-3 over Ledford, 52-0 over Salisbury, and 40-23 over Davie County.
