HINGHAM – Caroline Doherty has made an impressive name for herself as one of the top high school girls hockey players in Eastern Mass. The Hingham High senior’s immense talent on the ice certainly got the attention of the College of Holy Cross and that’s the college path Doherty has chosen to travel. Doherty recently committed to make the trip to Worcester to play college hockey for the NCAA Div. 1 program starting next year.

These boys of summer are the first Hingham Little League team to win a state champions HINGHAM - This summer was the first time that the Hingham Little League fielded a 13-year-old Intermediate baseball team. Things went well. Very well. The boys of summer won the District 8 title and went on to capture the first state championship in Hingham Little League history with a 13-2 win over Lincoln-Sudbury.

Several members of the Hingham/Hull state champion baseball team now playing college baseball HINGHAM – From 2016 to 2018, a group of baseball players in the Hingham/Hull Babe Ruth Baseball program had the time of their lives and made a ton of waves on the local and state baseball scene. The core of the team, many of whom grew up playing the game together all the way back to their Little League days, experienced a great deal of success together on the baseball diamond.

Miller Correspondent HINGHAM – The Hingham High boys tennis team has a history of fielding fine teams, and has been building steadily towards better and better seasons, but their 2023 campaign was certainly outstanding by anyone's estimation.

HNGHAM – Success was sure to follow Hingham High’s sports teams wherever they went this spring. Multiple Keenan Division titles, a Patriot League MVP or two, a few All-American selections, and long tourney runs for both varsity tennis teams and the boys lacrosse program. HINGHAM - On an overcast but warm morning, 1,597 runners celebrated Independence Day by lining up at the Hingham Middle School for Hingham’s 64th annual July 4th Road Race. The consistent rain over the previous several days held off just long enough for the runners to complete the 4.47-mile course.

The Hingham High graduate starred in track and soccer for the Harborwomen Jay N. Miller Correspondent HINGHAM - This year's Hingham High graduation ceremony saw the school bid farewell to one of the most accomplished, and certainly most versatile, athletes the Harbormen athletic department has ever seen.

Jordan will leave hockey and focus just on playing golf at Middlebury College Jay N. Miller Correspondent HINGHAM - Piper Jordan graduated last month as one of the best golfers in the history of Hingham High School. She finished in a tie for third place in the state individual tournament, while leading her team to a fifth place overall finish.

Seattle Kraken center and Hingham native Matt Beniers has won the Calder Memorial Trophy, which is awarded to the NHL's top rookie. Beniers was the expansion franchise's first draft pick when he was selected second overall in the 2021 NHL Draft. During the 2021-22 season, Beniers made his debut and scored three goals and six assists in 10 games. In his first full season, he led the rookie class with 24 goals and 57 total points in the regular season. He tallied four game-winning goals.
