The Knicks and Clippers used the Non-Bird exception to lock up a pair of restricted free agents who had strong rookie seasons in 2025/26. Knicks forward Mohamed Diawara and Clippers guard Kobe Sanders received matching $2,622,139 starting salaries on their new four-year contracts with their respective clubs, Hoops Rumors has learned. That figure represents 120% of their minimum salary, which is the maximum allowed using Non-Bird rights.

We’re now into the second week of the NBA’s 2026/27 league year, and while free agency has been resolved for many top players, there are still several intriguing names who don’t yet have new contract agreements in place.

The Suns officially announced their new deals for center Mark Williams and guards Collin Gillespie and Jordan Goodwin on Tuesday, with general manager Brian Gregory calling it a “great day for our organization,” describing the trio as “instrumental in our success last year,” per Logan Stanley of The Arizona Republic.

The teams pursuing star forward LeBron James have “reported mostly one-way communication,” according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, who suggests that those clubs haven’t had much back-and-forth dialogue or feedback on their pitches during the first week of free agency.

His longtime colleagues on ESPN’s Hoop Collective podcast, Brian Windhorst and Tim MacMahon, have published a story confirming the news. After initially reporting earlier tonight that the Wizards‘ sign-and-trade acquisition of Khris Middleton would be combined with several separate trade agreements to form a single six-team mega-deal, Ohm Youngmisuk, with the help of colleague Shams Charania, has laid out the terms of that trade in a full story for ESPN.com.

The Warriors have opted not to match the Grizzlies‘ offer sheet for restricted free agent center Quinten Post, according to Shams Charania and Anthony Slater of ESPN. As a result of the decision, Post will officially join the Grizzlies. Memphis signed Post to a three-year, $30MM offer sheet on Monday just before the July moratorium ended, giving the Warriors a little over 36 hours to decide whether or not to match.

Ron Holland played regularly off the bench in his second season with the Pistons until the postseason came around. He averaged 8.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.2 steals in 19.9 minutes per game during 78 regular-season appearances. However, he saw action in just nine postseason contests, averaging 6.4 minutes in those outings. His subpar 3-point shooting (25.3 percent) undoubtedly led to his reduced playing time.

The Pelicans have re-signed Hunter Dickinson on a two-way contract, according to the NBA transactions log. Dickinson was tendered a two-way qualifying offer prior to free agency, making him a restricted free agent. The former Michigan and Kansas standout, who appeared in five NBA games in his rookie season after going undrafted. Dickinson spent the bulk of last season with the Birmingham Squadron, the Pelicans’ NBA G League squad.

As expected, Isaiah Hartenstein‘s three-year, 75MM contract with the Thunder and Keon Ellis‘ two-year, $18MM deal with the Nets feature both player and team options on their respective final seasons, Hoops Rumors has confirmed. It has been 25 years since a mutual option (ie. both a player and team option) has been included in an NBA contract, per ESPN’s Bobby Marks, but they’re apparently back in vogue in 2026.
