An 84-year-old woman has died following a single-vehicle traffic crash at Caboolture on May 16. Initial investigations indicate at approximately 10.45am, a Mazda CX-3 was travelling north along Brown Street when it left the road and collided with the Perry Irwin Bridge. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, an 84-year-old Caboolture woman, was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where she died as a result of her injuries on Saturday.
Two people have been flown to Brisbane hospitals after their quad bike crashed down an embankment at Woolooga west of Gympie. Their quad bike went two metres down the embankment into a creek bed on the private property around 5.30pm yesterday.
