When MEET first opened its doors more than a decade ago, it brought the authentic Brazilian churrasco experience to Newcastle and quickly became a favourite with locals looking for an open-flame dining experience. Now, after more than a decade of serving Newcastle, MEET Restaurant has announced it will close its doors, with its final service taking place on Saturday 17 October 2026.

Four Pillars is partnering with just 12 venues across Australia to host its exclusive Bloody Shiraz Feasts, with Flotilla chosen as the Hunter destination for this one-off long lunch. Taking place on Saturday,August 22, the afternoon begins with a Bloody Shiraz Spritz before guests settle in for four seasonal courses, each paired with a bespoke Four Pillars Gin cocktail.

One of Osaka's most sought-after cocktail experiences is coming to Newcastle for two nights only, as acclaimed mixologist Taishi brings his intimate bar, Victor, to Âpé. On Wednesday, August 19 and Thursday, August 20, Victor Osaka x Âpé Experience will pair handcrafted Japanese cocktails with signature bites in an exclusive collaboration limited to just 64 guests. For almost three years, Taishi has welcomed guests into Victor, his intimate eight-seat cocktail bar in Osaka.

Sydney hospitality group Atticus Hospitality is bringing its bold dining style to the Hunter Valley this October, with Atticus Asado set to take over Dark Horse Vineyard in Lovedale.
