SALSA Certification Launches in Ireland for the First Time
The Institute of Food Science & Technology (IFST) is pleased to announce that SALSA certification is now available in Ireland. This marks a significant development for the food and drink sector across the country. This is the first time that the SALSA (Safe and Local Supplier Approval) scheme has been accessible to Irish producers. It provides small and micro food businesses with the opportunity to demonstrate strong food safety standards and gain access to new markets.
Hain Celestial Technical Visit and Eastern Branch Meet Up
This visit is organised by IFST Eastern Branch and is open to IFST members only A technical and general interest visit. Meet IFST Eastern branch and learn about the making of jams and other sweet spreads at the Hain Celestial site at Histon near to Cambridge. This site has a history stretching back to the thriving early traditional old English orchards of Cambridge and of Jam manufacturing using then, local fruit and sugar supplies. Still a sustainably sweet success story in 2025.
