Image: Shutterstock The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has hit theScore Bet with a CA$200,000 (approximately £106,251) fine for failing to fulfil cash-out offers. The violation related to a $1,000 parlay placed on 14 March on a series of NHL, NBA and NCAA basketball games that would have returned over $1m. According to the AGCO, the player was offered $380,000 after all but one of the legs was successful.

Lawyer Joonas Karhu explained in a LinkedIn post that the Supreme Administrative Court of Finland determined that sufficiently extensive and systematic betting activity may be regarded as being conducted for the purpose of generating income.

An 80% stake acquisition in the African operator has been completed by the iGaming technology company for a total consideration of €16.4m, as previously announced at the end of August.
