Background This comparative study examines responsibilities for coordination of healthcare and long-term care (LTC) in Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Switzerland. As populations age, frailty and multimorbidity are increasing, leading to greater care needs and coordination of care between sectors. We analyze how coordination responsibilities among healthcare professionals and organizations vary between different healthcare and LTC systems and what strategies are used for better coordination.

How Intersectoral Priority Setting Can Support Action on Social Determinants of Health: A Qualitative Case Study From Pakistan’s Federal Health Ministry
Background Intersectoral actions can improve population health and reduce health inequities by addressing social determinants of health. Priority setting methods are used by health ministries to rationalize resource allocation within the sector, but not for intersectoral actions. Methods We conducted a qualitative case study of an intersectoral priority setting exercise—a novel use of priority setting methods—undertaken by Pakistan’s Federal Ministry of Health between 2019–2022.

Background One Health decisions are challenging due to substantive and strategic uncertainty. This study aims to map and interpret strategic uncertainties surrounding a specific One Health issue (mosquito-borne disease [MBD] policy) in the Netherlands. Recruitment and retention policies for remote areas are often based on assumptions about what nurses value, while empirical evidence remains limited. This study aimed to examine the job attributes influencing nurses’ preferences for working in remote and very remote areas in Indonesia.
