Skip to content Nirvana is the 2026 “VMAs” Video Vanguard recipient. On this date in 1992 (9/9/92), Nirvana took to the “VMAs” stage for the first time – shaping music, culture and MTV forever. A social announcement broke the Vanguard news here. The “VMAs” will air Sunday, Sept. 27 (7:30-9:30 PM, ET/4:30-6:30 PM, PT) on the CBS Television Network, simulcast on MTV and streaming on Paramount+ (Premium) in the U.S. The show will also be available globally the next day on Paramount+ and MTV.

Lucy Dacus has announced the re-issue of her debut album No Burden in celebration of the album’s 10th anniversary. Along with today’s news comes a previously unreleased song from the era, fan-favorite “No Thank You, I Love You, Goodbye”. The song was originally written during the No Burden era. Lucy has performed it live on several occasions over the years. This first official release has been recorded with fellow Richmond-native collaborators Adrian Olsen and Lucy’s guitarist Alan Good Parker.
