Duplicate peer reviews (where the same reviewer report is sent for multiple submissions) are problematic because they fail to provide a unique and critical assessment of a manuscript, making the peer review unreliable.

IOP Publishing signs nationwide open access agreement covering 200+ institutions across Turkey
13 Apr 2026 by Faye Holst IOP Publishing (IOPP) has signed an open access agreement with The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey’s (TÜBİTAK) National Academic Network and Information Center (ULAKBİM). This new three-year ‘read and publish’ agreement marks IOPP’s first national level arrangement in Turkey and provides authors across all the country’s 236 universities with unlimited open access publishing in IOPP journals and select partner titles.
