Apple announced record earnings for the second quarter of 2022, with a revenue of $97.3 billion. Interestingly, the iPhone maker registered growth in every category except the iPad. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Tim Cook said that iPad sales were adversely affected by supply chain issues. Apple’s chief financial officer, Luca Maestri, said that he expects component shortages to cost Apple $4 billion to $8 billion in revenue in Q3, 2022.

It posted a revenue of $97.3 billion, up from $89.6 billion in revenue during Q2 2021. The company raked in a net quarterly profit of $25 billion, which was also more than Q2 2021 $23.6 billion net profit. The company’s board of directors pegged the quarterly earnings per diluted share at $1.52.

Apple introduced iCloud Private Relay as a part of its iCloud+ subscription service at its Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) in 2021. The feature has been available to paying iCloud+ customers as an opt-in beta feature only, but a report suggests the scope and availability of the feature could change when iOS 16 debuts at WWDC 2022 later this year.
