Congratulations to everyone who took part in the 2026 ALG5K Corporate Team Challenge through Dublin’s Docklands. Runners of all levels took on the 5K course, with a great atmosphere throughout the evening and plenty of support along the route.

The Remembrance Run 5K has officially launched for 2026, with this year marking the 15th edition of the special annual event in Dublin’s Phoenix Park. For 15 years, thousands of people have come together to remember someone special, and on Sunday, November 8th, participants will once again walk, jog or run 5K in memory of a family member, friend or someone who has played an important part in their lives.

Superb performances from Terry Shanley (Clane A.C.) and Ciaran McGonagle (Letterkenny A.C.) saw both claim silver medals at the World Masters 100km Championships in Ames, Spain! Shanley – M35 Silver | 7:12:25 PB McGonagle – M45 Silver | 7:17:40 The Irish team battled exceptionally tough conditions as temperatures climbed to 33Β°C, with the men’s team finishing 12th overall and 8th among the European teams.

Sharlene Mawdsley has wasted no time reminding the athletics world of her quality after making a winning return to competition in Italy. The Irish sprinter produced an impressive performance at the Palio Città della Quercia meeting in Rovereto, securing victory in the women’s 400m in her first race since injury interrupted her summer campaign. Sharlene had been forced to step away from racing after picking up a hamstring tear during the 200m final at the National Championships in Santry in July.
