For his defence, Dr Maschhaupt argued that addressing poverty through social policy is not just a question of resources, but also one of politics.

Rethinking resilience through women’s experiences Rather than treating resilience as a fixed capacity or an endpoint to be achieved, the book approaches it as something 'lived': an open and evolving process entangled with everyday practices of becoming. By foregrounding women’s experiences, the book also draws attention to dimensions of recovery that conventional approaches can overlook.

To help EUR researchers navigate this changing landscape, the Erasmus University Library has developed a new online module on Generative AI in research. The free, online module takes just 60 to 90 minutes to complete and is aimed at PhD candidates, postdocs, faculty members and research support staff who want to develop their GenAI literacy and learn how to use these tools responsibly in their research.

This summer, 48 new portraits will be added to Professors Represented in the Erasmus Building. The expansion gives greater visibility to women scholars and scientists and creates a more complete picture of the Erasmus University Rotterdam community. Professors Represented was introduced in 2022 as an initiative of the IDEA Center (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Access Center).
