MacQuarrie Stone-Folmar Hired as Assistant Softball Coach
ITHACA, N.Y. – Ithaca College softball head coach Kelly Robichaud has announced the hiring of MacQuarrie Stone-Folmar as the new assistant coach heading into the 2026-27 academic year. "I'm excited to introduce MacQuarrie Stone-Folmar as our next assistant coach," said Robichaud. "Beyond her softball background, what stood out most during the search process was her commitment to supporting player growth both on and off the field.
Ithaca Announces 56th Hall of Fame Class
ITHACA, N.Y. - The Ithaca College Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has finalized its 56th Hall of Fame class, which will be inducted on Friday, October 9, 2029. The newest class features eight highly successful individuals and one national championship team. The induction ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. on campus, the night prior to IC's home football game against the University of Rochester. Tickets will go on sale for the event shortly.
Justin Stangel Resigns as Men’s Rowing Head Coach
ITHACA, N.Y. – Ithaca College head coach of men's rowing, Justin Stangel, has announced his resignation after four seasons with the program, effective on July 24. "Justin's leadership and dedication have continued to elevate Ithaca men's rowing, both within the Liberty League and on the national stage," said IC Athletic Director Aaron Bouyea.
Women’s Lacrosse, Eight Student-Athletes Receive IWLCA Academic Honors
NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Ithaca College was one of 357 schools named across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2025-26 academic year. Along with that, eight student-athletes were named to the IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
Volleyball Earns AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll Award
LEXINGTON, Ky. — Volleyball programs from across the country continue to enjoy widespread success off the court as 1,432 collegiate and high school volleyball teams earned the 2026 AVCA Team Academic Award by maintaining a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale). This is the second season the AVCA has named a Team Academic Champion for each collegiate division.

Tim Reynolds Joins Department as NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative
ITHACA, N.Y. - Following the departure of Margaret Shackell, the Ithaca College Department of Athletics is pleased to announce that Tim Reynolds '14 will now serve as the NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative for a three-year term, concluding at the end of the 2029 academic year. In this role, Reynolds will serve as a liaison between the institution and the athletics department, and as a representative of the institution in conference and NCAA affairs.
