Despite the end of Indiana’s season, it may be looking at another Golden Age. On Wednesday, Indiana women’s basketball completed the largest comeback during Teri Moren’s tenure in Bloomington, after erasing a 20-point deficit in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament against the University of Nebraska. Indiana’s March magic, however, ran out earlier than anticipated, as the Hoosiers’ season ended on Thursday against the Ohio State University 83-59.

Indiana senior guard Shay Ciezki wore a soft smirk on her face as the National Anthem sounded in Assembly Hall. She was moments away from playing her final home game in an Indiana uniform against her former team, Penn State University. “As I was praying, I kind of just felt a little bit of how funny God is sometimes,” Ciezki said after the game.

After a tough time out west, Indiana Women’s Basketball came back to Bloomington to host the Oregon Ducks. It was a 4th Quarter thriller between the Hoosiers and the Ducks, with momentum shifting at the end of the game. Indiana secured a 72-65 win to keep them in the Big Ten Tournament discussion. Indiana got scoring going early, seeing numbers from six different Hoosiers. Once again, the star for the Hoosiers: Shay Ciezki.

On Friday night, the No. 21 Indiana Hoosiers welcomed the Purdue Boilermakers to Wilkinson Hall for what would become a thrilling battle between rivals. In the end, the home team narrowly emerged victorious, winning 20-16 on senior night and closing the Big Ten dual season with a triumph. Both teams sent ranked wrestlers into action throughout the evening, ranging from true national championship contenders to those fighting to prove they’re worthy of a spot in the sport’s penultimate tournament.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - No. 25 Indiana opened Sunday afternoon grabbing early momentum against the No. 6 Nebraska Cornhuskers, but quickly lost control, losing nine consecutive individual matches and handing the Hoosiers a 34-5 loss inside Wilkinson Hall. Following the loss, the Hoosiers dropped to 3-4 in conference competition.

Shay Ciezki’s near double-double powered Indiana to a 15-point victory Indiana has been playing with its back against the wall after a 0-10 start in Big Ten play. With the bottom three teams in the standings missing the conference tournament during the first week of March, the Hoosiers have been desperate for victories. On Sunday, Indiana won its third straight game with a win over Purdue University 74-59 and is right back in the Big Ten tournament picture.

The No. 22 Indiana Hoosiers produced a stunning result in Madison on Saturday against the No. 15 Wisconsin Badgers. Indiana opened the dual with eight consecutive match victories in what would become a 30-9 statement upset over a ranked conference rival. No. 18 Jacob Moran opened the dual at 125 pounds for Indiana, and effectively bounced back from his overtime loss in Champaign a week prior.

On Friday evening, No. 24 Indiana Wrestling fell short on the road against No. 10 Illinois by a score of 27-7. The loss comes on short rest after Indiana’s 32-13 home win over Michigan State in last Monday’s postponed dual, and marks the third time the Hoosiers have lost to a top 10 opponent this season. The meet began at 125 pounds, where No. 20 Spencer Moore upset Indiana’s No. 11 Jacob Moran in overtime.

No. 25 Indiana Wrestling defeated the visiting Michigan State Spartans inside Wilkinson Hall on Monday by a score of 32-13, in a postponed dual that was originally scheduled for Sunday, before a winter storm descended upon much of the midwest. The Hoosiers were victorious in seven of the 10 bouts, maintaining a pristine home record and leveling their Big Ten dual record at 2-2. The win acts as a quality rebound from Friday’s shutout loss to No. 1 Penn State in Happy Valley.

MIAMI – Forty-nine years, nine months, and 23 days ago, Indiana basketball won a national championship to complete the last undefeated college basketball season the sport has seen. Two days ago, Indiana football immortalized itself in a similar way, defeating Miami 27-21 to win its first national championship and to complete the first-ever 16-0 season in the modern era of college football.
