It was established in 1979 and is published by Elsevier on behalf of the American Academy of Dermatology, of which it is the official journal.[1] The editor-in-chief is Dirk Elston (Medical University of South Carolina). Cutaneous NFs, although benign, have significant psychosocial implications due to pruritus, physical disfigurement, and sometimes pain.
Prurigo nodularis (PN) is an extremely pruritic, chronic inflammatory skin disease. Little is known about systemic inflammation in PN. To characterize plasma inflammatory biomarkers in PN patients and investigate the presence of disease endotypes. In this cross-sectional study, Olink proteomic analysis was performed on plasma samples from PN patients (n=29) and healthy controls (n=18).

To determine whether isotretinoin exposure, oral tetracycline-class antibiotic exposure, and/or acne itself are associated with IBD.
