I’m a wife and the Mother of two little girls. I have a bachelor’s in journalism and emerging media with a master’s in professional writing. I consider myself a suburban hippie, aka a Hipster without the fashion sense. If you see me in the streets, you’ll know because you’ll catch my signature turquoise hair (or whatever color it happens to be this week). I fangirl over anything geeky like Star Wars, Disney, Harry Potter, and superheroes. I started writing in 2008 as a way for the family that lives too far away to keep track of our milestones. Since that time, I’ve written for Fox 5 Atlanta, Aiming Low, and contributed articles to multiple magazines in Atlanta. I’m a huge supporter of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta because they helped my family when we needed it most. I also started Yeah, Let’s Go (formally Atlanta Moms on the Move), which is a travel blog with a popular local Atlanta section that lists current events and things to do with your family around Metro Atlanta. Twisters Lives Up to the Hype
It’s time to wrangle up some TWISTERS! The new retelling, Twisters, is now available to own. As someone who loved the original film, I was going to be one of the toughest critics of the new movie. I gathered my whole family (extended family also) and we watched the film on the big screen. It was everything I wanted from a modern retelling and more. The uprising of social media chasers makes this movie so prevalent today. Anything for the views.
Star Wars May the 4th Merch Drops 2024
This May the 4th, Star Wars is celebrating the 25 year anniversary of Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. Darth Maul is seeing a lot of great product launches this year, including the 25th Anniversary Limited Edition Legacy Lightsaber Set. Many items on this list are available now or pre-order, with the remainder dropping on May 4th. May the Force be with you as you attempt to snap some of these limited edition items.
Eclipse Party Viewing Essentials
Eclipses are amazing to behold, but solar eclipses that result in totality are rare. So be prepared and make it a learning experience with your family. A lot of schools (in GA) are actually keeping the kids late so that they can watch it. Just remember, when you’re looking at the NASA Eclipse Map, the times are listed in Coordinated Universal Time and you will need to calculate what time the eclipse will be in your area.

Stranger Things Upside Down Cookies
Preheat the oven to 410° degrees F. In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the cubed cold butter and granulated sugar. Using a paddle attachment on low speed for 1 minute, combine the ingredients. Increase the speed to high for 1 minute, and scrape the sides for even blending. Add the eggs, one at a time to the sugar mixture, make sure it is completely combined. Add the vanilla and mix until combined. Add the red food coloring and cocoa powder and mix on low until combined.
