This week my son is in the temporary lull between camp ending and school starting, and the article I planned to publish is so good (I’m REALLY excited about it) that I haven’t finished it yet. So I’m pivoting. Instead, I’m sharing the books I’m loving and the TV shows I don’t want to end. I’m an entertainment-culture fiend. It is my ultimate form of relaxation. But since having my son, Rory, my consumption has taken a bit of a hit.
Your Sleep Hygiene Sucks Part 1
According to my husband, my sleep hygiene sucks. Not in a “you’re gross” at bedtime way, but my routine before climbing into bed could use an upgrade. Amy Poehler would probably want to stage an intervention with me because she seems deeply invested in all of us getting better sleep (if you listen to Good Hang, you know exactly what I mean). Over the past couple of years, I’ve picked up some questionable sleep habits.
Mirror Work: Notes From a Calm Anxious Person
Mirror Work are reflections on what the mirror taught me this week: confidence, shame, surprise, or sometimes…nothing at all. The mirror scares the shit out of me, which is exactly why I keep coming back to it. Because getting dressed isn’t just about how I look, it’s how I find my footing. The right outfit can bring a kind of mental clarity, especially on the days my mind feels anything but clear. Top (alt color). Shorts. Shoes. Necklace 1, 2, 3 (alt version). Having anxiety isn’t a flex.

A Hybrid Cheek Tint That Delivers a Sun-Bitten Flush, An Upper Bleph-Level Concealer Brush, and A Highlighter I’d Skip
Welcome to The Feel Something Files, my personal cart of inspiration. Curation is no longer an act of control, but a way to practice self-definition. It reinforces who I am and what I care about. It’s about building a life that feels like me. Checking out just makes it all the more fun. My beauty and wellness testing process has very much evolved. These days, I only test something new or new-to-me if it’s a full-body yes.
Mirror Work: I’m Actively Trying Not to be an Almond Mom
Mirror Work are reflections or prompts on what the mirror taught me this week — confidence, shame, surprise, or just neutrality. The mirror scares the shit out of me. So think of it as character building and seeing myself without the performance. I refuse to be an almond mom. But internally it will always be a fight between my brain and my body. I grew up with an almond mom (Hi mom! I know you’re reading this and we don’t have to talk about this article; I’m fine).
The Feel Something Files: An Ode to J. Law, A Not–Kate Spade Kate Spade Bag, A Chic Summer Camp Uniform, and More
The Feel Something Files is my personal cart of inspiration. Curation is no longer an act of control, but a way to practice self-definition. It reinforces who I am and what I care about. It’s about building a life that feels like me. Checking out just makes it all the more fun. I saw Jennifer Lawrence wearing the Harris Tapper Loin Top and Camilla Skirt, so I bought the Harris Tapper Loin Top and Camilla Skirt. If J. Law is wearing it, chances are I am too.
Mirror Work: I’d Like a Word With My Hormones
Mirror Work are reflections or prompts on what the mirror taught me this week — confidence, shame, surprise, or just neutrality. The mirror scares the shit out of me. So think of it as character building and seeing myself without the performance. This might sound obvious, but I’m always struck by how quickly things catch on. Five years ago, hormones and women’s health weren’t part of the mainstream conversation in beauty and wellness. Now they’re everywhere and that’s a good thing.

The Feel Something Files: Necklaces That Create the Illusion of a Facial Tweakment
This is a little out there. I promise I’m not out of my mind, but I’ve come to find that wearing certain jewelry, a necklace, really, can sculpt your face and give it a little lift— the jawline, cheeks, eyes, neck, all of it. Not literally, obviously. But optically? Energetically? Posture-wise? Yup. A certain type of necklace can redirect the eye. The right length, shine, shape, and placement can create visual tension upward and sharpen perceived structure.
