With hearts full of gratitude, we share the news that Dr. Monica Hernandez, beloved host of The Revealing Word, passed away this June after a brief illness. Her voice has been a faithful companion to our listeners for many years, and today we pause to celebrate a life given fully to God and to others. For over 25 years, Dr. Monica Hernandez devoted herself to teaching the Bible with insight, warmth, and heart.

There’s a moment when faith comes alive, when thousands lift their voices as one. That moment is coming to Downtown Toronto on September 12th, at the 27th Annual Jesus in the City Parade and Festival! The lively musical street pageant will weave through the streets of Toronto around Queen’s Park illustrating themes from the Bible with music, the arts and worship. Including a Celebration Concert once the parade returns Queen’s Park, sharing the message of hope, love, peace and the joy of salvation.

Some voices don’t just sing to us. They draw us into a special place of worship in the most common of spaces. For Brian Doerksen, that was the calling of a lifetime, and today we say goodbye to a man whose songs became the soundtrack of worship for millions around the world. Brian passed away on July 21st. He was a husband, a father, a pastor, and one of the most cherished worship songwriters Canada has ever known.

Joni Lamb, co-founder and president of Daystar Television Network, who inspired millions through her faith and ministry, passed away on Thursday, May 7, at the age of 65, following a private battle with serious health challenges that worsened after a recent back injury.
