Hi friends, Today is July 2nd which means it’s the anniversary of the day I got to meet Grace for the first time. Thirteen years of loving Grace! What a gift. just a couple of babies in 2013 ! In other fun + sweet news, my pals over at Queer Soup Night have announced the pre-order campaign for their upcoming cookbook. Hey there! On Tuesdays I share easy lunch recipes for paid subscribers. To me, a “lunch recipe” is especially simple to make and simple to clean-up (of course you can make the recipe for any mealtime that you’d like!). I always include a number of helpful notes for paid subscribers (i.e. ways to make vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free versions of the recipe and other fun notes/ideas).
Down to Earth (and me) leaves the house!
🚨 NOTE: This email is too long to display fully in some inboxes. If this message is truncated, please click the title above or click [View entire message] at the bottom to read the full post on the Substack website or app! You already know this, but Down to Earth, my first ever foray into fiction came out on Tuesday. I thought writing the book was a blast, but talking about it and getting to celebrate it might be even more fun?! I wanted to share some highlights from this week with you.
Soar, Down to Earth, soar!
This is not a normal Tuesday in my neck of the woods. Yes there’s a very lunch-friendly recipe for you down below, but really I’m just here to shout from my newsletter rooftop because….Down to Earth, my first ever novel (!!!), is out today!!! Like I told the writer Rachel Sugar in this profile, putting Down to Earth out into the world is the most relaxed I’ve ever felt about anything in my career. It just feels SO FUN. It was fun to write. It was even fun to edit.

Fun news from my corner of the world: Down to Earth, my debut romance novel, comes out next Tuesday!!!! It’s a queer love story that takes place on a vegetable farm in a fictional upstate NY town called Sungold (yes, just like my favorite cherry tomato). I think you’re going to love the two main characters Frankie and Paige so much.
