Nasiru Yusuf Ibrahim Dangote Cement, a subsidiary of the Nigerian conglomerate founded by Aliko Dangote, has officially launched operations at its new cement plant in Attingué, in Côte d’Ivoire, approximately 30 kilometers from Abidjan. KANO FOCUS reports that the announcement was made by the Managing Director of Dangote Cement Côte d’Ivoire, Serge Gbotta, during a press briefing held at Novotel Abidjan-Marcory.

The Kano State chapter of the Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF, has disowned comments credited to Prof. Muhammad Tukur, a member of the forum’s National Executive Committee, on President Bola Tinubu’s candidature. KANO FOCUS reports that the Chairman of the forum in Kano, Dr Goni Faruk Umar, made this known while addressing journalists on Wednesday. He explained that Tukur’s remarks during a BBC Hausa interview were his personal opinion and not the official position of the ACF.
