(Portland, OR) -- Two Portland police officers were injured Thursday while helping clear a homeless encampment near Northwest Flanders Street and 5th Avenue. Police say a man living at the camp became combative and assaulted the officers before being arrested. Both officers were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, while the suspect was taken to a hospital for self-inflicted injuries sustained after his arrest. Category: State News New Charges Against Teen Impersonatorfacing dozens of charges after allegedly posing as a teenager to sexually abuse juveniles. A Multnomah County grand jury has issued a 66-count indictment against Ethan Bonahan. Bonahan allegedly worked with recreational basketball organizations, where he met his victims. Detectives believe that over a year he worked in a variety of basketball clubs in the Portland area. The indictments involved five juveniles.

Category: State News (Hillsboro, OR) -- Hillsboro Police are trying to identify the suspect in a fatal hit and run that happened on September 19th. Officers were called to Southeast T-V Highway and Cypress Street around 11:30 p.m. where a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. The person died at the scene. Police obtained surveillance video of two vehicles. A white sedan is seen passing the pedestrian.

Category: State News (Independence, OR) -- An Oregon State Representative is being charged with driving under the influence. Independence Police responded to a hit and run crash where a vehicle hit a stop sign. Officers found the vehicle parked at a convenience store about a mile away. State Representative Paul Evans told officers he had two drinks over an eight hour period at an Elks Lodge. Evans failed a field sobriety test.

Category: State News (Portland, OR) -- Portland Public Schools has sent three options to the Board of Education to deal with declining and uneven enrollment. Plan A would close 14 schools, Plan B would close 11 schools, and a third option would defer changes for now. Community input will be taken through November when the superintendent will send a final recommendation to the Board which will vote in December. Changes would take effect in fall 2027.

An investigation that lasted several years identified 32-year-old Raymond Brooks, from Antioch, California, as a suspect who forced multiple women into commercial sex acts for money. He's accused of using force, fraud, and coercion. He's being held on a million dollars bail.

Category: Local News A 65-year-old man is in the Deschutes County Jail after deputies say he stole items and damaged property at the Alfalfa Market Store east of Bend. Authorities say William Demmon, who has no known address, was arrested Tuesday after employees reported theft, and witnesses said he confronted customers outside. Deputies say Demmon then damaged an awning, flower boxes, and landscaping while trying to drive away.

Category: Local News Deschutes County deputies arrested a Sisters man after a reported disturbance late Sunday night on North Woodson Street. Deputies say dispatchers heard children screaming during the call, and responding officers found an adult woman and two juveniles injured inside an apartment. Investigators say 31-year-old Royce Shipley entered the home without permission and assaulted the occupants before leaving. Authorities believed he may have been armed and was at his nearby apartment.
