(TNND) — A Florida man was sentenced to life in prison for killing a man he and his boyfriend invited to an apartment for a "sexual encounter,' according to a prosecutor. State Attorney Suzy Lopez said 29-year-old Dewayne Gallishaw, of Tampa, learned his fate on Friday.

Early Saturday morning, the return of a band of clouds and a few stray showers could make for a bumpy start to the weekend. DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. — Veterans and their families gathered Friday, August 28, at the Douglas County Fairgrounds to learn more about benefits and resources available to them through their service during a statewide Veterans Benefits Expo in Roseburg.

The first large site in the continental U.S. for testing technologies that generate electricity from ocean waves is now open after securing a key green-energy approval from the Trump administration. The federal approval is notable because President Donald Trump has created massive hurdles for clean energy, particularly offshore wind.
