(TNND) — A married Minnesota couple has been charged with sexually abusing a missing 14-year-old girl after police found her in a cardboard box in their bedroom.

WASHINGTON (TNND) — A judge dismissed a second-degree murder charge against Arkansas sheriff nominee Aaron Spencer, who allegedly killed his teen daughter's alleged rapist. On Thursday, a judge dismissed the case against Spencer after law enforcement lost a dash camera memory card that may have recorded the October 2024 shooting of 67-year-old Michael Fosler, the New York Post reported.

HUNT VALLEY, Md. (TNND) — Three Republican senators broke with their party on Thursday in a failed attempt to prevent Bill Pulte, the federal housing finance director, from acting as national intelligence chief. Senators Bill Cassidy, Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins voted to support a Democratic measure that would have blocked any spymaster from simultaneously leading another agency. WASHINGTON (TNND) — A dual U.S.-Iranian citizen and CEO of a Tehran-based tech company was denied bond after being charged with aiding Iran's military and nuclear program. Jamshid Ghomi, 63, of Newport Coast, Calif., was ordered held without release Thursday by U.S. Magistrate Judge Douglas McCormick in federal court, the New York Post reported. Ghomi is charged with conspiracy to violate the International Emergency Economic Powers Act and faces up to 20 years in federal prison if convicted.
