This one's sure to send a lightning bolt through the AC/DC fandom. For this week's Chuck's Fight Club on the Loudwire Nights radio show, we're asking you to choose a favorite album between Let There Be Rock and Back in Black. Given that you have two different but equally legendary vocalists fronting these albums, it should be an interesting result. On one side, we're taking you back to the '70s where Bon Scott was fronting the emerging and powerful Aussie rockers.

Texas will have some new laws on the books beginning September 1st. New statutes approved during the 2025 legislative session will officially become Texas law on September 1. The upcoming measures introduce stricter regulatory oversight for residential solar companies, provide consumers with the ability to have items repaired, and recognize gold and silver bullion as legal tender.

Rush's 2026 Fifty Something tour is going quite well and the band has just added four more stops to their massive itinerary. The group was already booked out until April of 2027, but found room this fall to add four additional shows to the run. The four new stops will come in Houston, St. Louis, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. First up, will be the Toyota Center in Houston with the band taking over the venue on Oct. 1.

Bad Wolves have officially released their cover of Dolly Parton's "Jolene" after their guitarist AJ Rebollo quit over its release. The band shared in a press release that they'd recorded a cover of the hit just a few days after Parton's death last week, further revealing that the country icon actually intended to appear on the track with them. The song was released today (Aug. 31), which was the release date mentioned in the press release last week.

James Niggemeyer, the police officer who shot Dimebag Darrell's killer at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio back in 2004, has shared in a new interview that he has no regrets about his involvement in how things played out that night, even though it ultimately led to issues that ended his career as a first responder. Niggemeyer suffered panic attacks after taking down Nathan Gale, the gunman responsible for killing multiple people including the Damageplan guitarist.

There's nothing like a good movie to bring people together and for Mastodon drummer Brann Dailor, the 1986 cult classic River's Edge is something that was at the heart of his longtime friendship with Slipknot's Joey Jordison. In fact, according to Dailor, he once ran up an $800 phone bill largely due to he and Jordison sharing quotes from the movie back and forth.

Last Friday (Aug. 28), Mastodon released their ninth studio album (Marrow Deep), which is their first without late guitarist/vocalist Brent Hinds and their first with guitarist Nick Johnston and keyboardist João Nogueira. Among the many questions surrounding the record is why the group decided to call it Marrow Deep, and during a new chat with iHeartRadio Canada, drummer/vocalist Brann Dailor explained precisely that.
