When it comes to Walmart, most people either love it or hate it. Usually, there's no middle ground. Based on a newly registered project, we're about to see just how much the people of Nacogdoches love it or hate it. According to the Texas Department of Licensing and Registration website, a new renovation/alteration project was registered on September 9th for the Walmart Supercenter in Nacogdoches.

It's hard to believe but we are BLOWING through 2026. We're at the end of summer. Fall is right around the corner. Then you'll blink and Christmas time will be here. Kinda wild quickly time goes by. Hunting is a big deal here in Deep East Texas. My parents were taking me out to the deer lease before I could even walk. That's why it always surprises me that there are lots of people that haven't ever had that experience. They didn't get to go out hunting as a kid. However, there's a chance for kids right here in our area to get to go. Caddo Sustainable Timberlands and TTG Forestry Services are teaming up to put on the 4th Annual Caddo Youth Hunt.

One of the things that affects meal decisions is the price - obviously. If you've got a family, the price affects your decision that much more. However, there's a couple of restaurants in Nacogdoches that are doing something that might make it easier to get a meal for your family and make it easier to pay for. If you're not familiar with Clear Springs and/or Auntie Pasta's in Nacogdoches, you're missing out.

I think it's a pretty safe bet to say that most people in today's world use Amazon fairly regularly. That's a fair assumption, right? I think it's also a safe bet to say that the people using Amazon usually just have the deliveries shipped directly to their homes. Hudson High School has a great history of producing some of East Texas's best cross-country, distance, and mid-distance runners. Coaches Josh and Amy Stewart have built quite the Pineywoods dynasty with their distance runners. Of course, I am a bit biased since my children attended school at Hudson, but here's some proof.
