The City of Laramie will hold its annual 9/11 ceremony at 9 a.m. on Friday: That's according to a post on the City of Laramie Facebook page: According to the post, The City of Laramie Fire Department will be honoring the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country this Friday. The Fire Department will begin the Flag Ceremony at 9:00 AM at the corner of Ivinson and 4th, across from City Hall.

Two small-ish firefighting airplanes made a low buzz over Cheyenne, Wyoming, Wednesday afternoon and landed for refueling. They are helping to fight the Moonshine fire near Wheatland, Wyoming. A Facebook page has been started to update folks on the fire. Find it at this link. Moonshine Fire began 2 miles NE of Government Peak Rd at Tunnel Rd, Wheatland, Platte & Albany Counties, WY. The latest reports as of Wednesday afternoon show that it has grown to 1300 acres.

A new national survey by a Michigan law firm ranks Wyoming as the third most dangerous state for drivers. The numbers are from 2024. The study was conducted by  Ravid & Associates. Wyoming's neighbor to the north, Montana, was rated the most dangerous state, followed by South Carolina. Minnesota was rated as the safest state in the survey. The single biggest factor that caused Wyoming to be rated the most dangerous state was alcohol.

The Buffalo Bills will have all eyes on them next Thursday night when they take on the Lions at their new home and they'll be doing something they've never done in Highmark Stadium history. The Bills are taking a page out of the Sabres book for this one. For years, the Sabres have sung both the American and Canadian National anthem before games. The Bills are planning to do the same at their home opener with two different singers.

Last year, the Buffalo Bills debuted a brand new ice cream that was only available at Wegmans called "Bring The Storm" and this year, they're bringing it back. Last year, Wegmans released a special edition ice cream flavor called "Bring The Storm." It was a blue ice cream that was cake-flavored, then they sprinkled in vanilla cake pieces and white sprinkles. It was released right around the same time as the Nike Cold Front Uniforms and it tied in nicely. Now, they're bringing it back again.

LARAMIE -- "Going viral" isn't always a good thing. Wyoming defensive tackle Jayden Williams Saturday was captured on film taking out his frustrations on a number of Colorado State fans following a 35-13 loss to their Border War rivals. After the final cannon blast, fans -- mainly students -- poured over the walls and began to rush toward the north end zone. In order to get there, they had to run through the Cowboys, who were headed toward the visiting locker room.

Having been in the radio and connected to the music industry for about 30 years, I relate many life issues to songs, especially their lyrics. When you hear a song and it hits you in the middle of the feels, you wonder how the songwriter knew exactly what you're feeling at that particular moment. Shoot, some songs may have been written with an entirely different thing in mind, but you interpret it in a way that makes more sense to you. That's the great part about music.

I've been watching a History series called "The Men Who Built America: The Frontiersman," and I find it fascinating. The struggles they went through to help shape this country are crazy. The first episode was about Daniel Boone's fight to help spread and shape the frontier. The first group to travel over the mountains and settle in what is now known as Kentucky lived off the land. They hunted, trapped, built, and used whatever resources were available to them to get the job done.

When buying a vehicle, the first question that must be asked is: what's the mission? You wouldn't take a sports car up a two-rut mountain road. The most popular vehicle in Wyoming is one that suits the mission for most people in the Cowboy State. Despite what has become its outrageously high price, the Ford F-150 is still the most popular vehicle in Wyoming. They used to be more affordable and practical.

There was a battle in the tiny town of Battle, Wyoming, and it cost the entire town. The place was never that big to begin with, so it was not hard to wipe out. Today, you can visit Battle Wyoming to see what is left. It isn't much. But then again, it never was much. Battle Wyoming is a historic, abandoned mining ghost town located at an elevation of nearly 10,000 feet in the Sierra Madre Mountains of Carbon County. It was an old mining town. There are no records of its peak population.
