Following weeks of leaks, rumours and speculation, Microsoft finally confirmed that they will be making some big changes at Xbox, including the cutting of thousands of employees, parting ways with up-to 5 different studios and more.

The past few weeks have been rather stressful, with the future of Xbox seemingly being in flux while we waited for Microsoft to officially announce a number of wide-ranging changes across the console maker’s studios. Finally, the cat has been let out of the bag, with as many as 5 different teams set to part ways with Xbox.

Each Month, Sony updates its PlayStation Plus Essential line-up with a solid 3 titles or so, available to claim by all those with a PS Plus subscription. Razer has announced the launch of the Razer | Espeon & Umbreon Collection, a new lineup of themed gaming peripherals developed in partnership with The Pokémon Company International. Released to commemorate Pokémon's 30th anniversary, the hardware collection is available now. The new collection splits its design themes between the Eevee evolutions Espeon and Umbreon, integrating custom artwork and Razer Chroma RGB lighting into existing peripheral designs.

Upon the release of the Switch 2, Nintendo made it clear that they still saw the last-gen Switch 1 as a contemporary console which could co-exist alongside the console maker’s next-gen offering. Noctua confirmed the upcoming release of its “NL-LC1 chromax.black series” AIO liquid coolers via its official YouTube account. In response to a user query, the company stated that the all-black variant is planned for release around the end of the year, even though it hasn't been mentioned in the updated roadmap. Wccftech was the first to spot Noctua's comment on YouTube.

For the past month or so, we’ve been hearing countless talk surrounding Microsoft and its plans for Xbox, with leaks and rumours suggesting that studios could be shut down, games might be cancelled and Xbox overall could be in a very different place. Finally, Microsoft has broken its silence, confirming that nearly 5000 jobs across the company will be cut, with the likes of Double Fine and Compulsion Games now going independent.

Samsung seems to be finalising the SSD 990, a new upcoming value-oriented M.2 NVMe Gen 4 SSD that recently surfaced briefly on the company’s Canadian website. Screenshots reveal details of the new drive, which slots underneath the existing 990 Evo Plus in Samsung's storage lineup. The new entry-level drive spotted by VideoCardz uses a PCIe Gen 4 x4 interface, distinguishing it from the 990 Evo Plus, which features a hybrid Gen 4 x4 or Gen 5 x2 interface.
