Potter-Dix freshmen took their health class outside the classroom Tuesday, Sept. 1, visiting The Training Room in Sidney to learn about fitness opportunities available in their community. Potter-Dix K-12 physical education teacher Morgan Sonnie arranged the visit as part of a lesson focused on helping students identify ways to remain physically active outside of school. “Our students are learning about ways that they can be active within their communities,” Sonnie said.

Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen joined the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Build America Bureau (USDOT), the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and theNebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) to highlight a new initiative to accelerate the delivery of transportation projects across seven counties in Nebraska.
