Ahmedabad’s Geetamandir Bus Port has added a second terminal to handle growing passenger traffic on routes to Saurashtra-Kutch and North Gujarat. Deputy CM inaugurated Terminal-2, a 4,309 sq m facility equipped with upgraded passenger amenities. The new terminal began operations on August 13, with around 1,091 buses departing daily for destinations across Saurashtra, Kutch and North Gujarat.

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has decided to make its hearse services completely free, removing the ₹50 charge previously levied for transporting bodies from hospitals to homes or from homes to crematoriums.
