Clarivate Plc has released its annual G20 research and innovation scorecard, prepared by analysts and data scientists at the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI). The interactive scorecard provides a data‑driven overview of the research and innovation performance of G20 member nations, covering research output, citation impact, collaboration patterns, and alignment with global priorities such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The MIT Press has announced the launch of NeuroNexus, a new interdisciplinary journal dedicated to advancing the science of human and machine intelligence. The journal aims to integrate research across psychology, neuroscience, and engineering, while also emphasizing real‑world applications and societal implications.

Coalition Publica — a partnership between the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) and Érudit — along with the Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL) and the University of Toronto Libraries, acting as the service provider for Scholars Portal, have signed a new memorandum of understanding to strengthen Canada’s open scholarly infrastructure. The agreement formalizes their longstanding collaboration and leverages shared expertise to advance the long‑term preservation of open research in Canada.

EIFL has renewed its agreement with Royal Society Publishing for another three years, extending through December 2029. The agreement provides EIFL partner countries with free or discounted access to eight high‑impact journals in the physical and biological sciences, along with waived Article Processing Charges (APCs) for open access publishing in both fully open access and hybrid journals.

Wiley has announced the launch of Advanced Immunology, a new open access journal focused on basic, clinical, and translational immunology. The journal is intended to connect fundamental science with clinical discovery, deepening understanding of the immune system in both health and disease. The title is part of Wiley’s expanding Advanced Portfolio, which now includes more than 30 journals across disciplines.

SPIE has announced the acquisition of The Lens, an open‑knowledge platform that provides global access to scholarly works and patent information. The acquisition is intended to broaden SPIE’s scholarly portfolio and enhance the accessibility of patent application data by showing real‑time utilization of research. Kent Rochford, SPIE CEO and Executive Director, stated that the missions of SPIE and The Lens are closely aligned and complementary.

Sage has received six 2026 APEX Awards recognizing excellence in digital learning, video, and professional development resources. The awards highlight contributions from Sage, its imprint Corwin, and Epigeum, with entries selected from approximately 1,000 submissions. The honors include two Grand Awards and four Awards of Excellence.

Intelligent Computing, a Science Partner Journal co-founded by Zhejiang Lab and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), has appointed Philip S. Yu and Osmar R. Zaïane as its new Editors-in-Chief. Yu and Zaïane succeed the founding editors at a stage when the journal is experiencing rapid growth as an international open-access publication focused on the convergence of intelligence and computing.

The ISSN International Centre and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen collaboration in metadata exchange, interoperability, and the visibility of open access scholarly resources. Under the agreement, both organizations will continue to facilitate metadata exchange through APIs and other technical means, maintain high standards of data quality, ensure interoperability between their systems, and promote each other’s services.
