KNX (1070 kHz) is a commercial all-news AM radio station in Los Angeles, California, owned by Audacy, Inc. KNX is one of the oldest stations in the United States, having received its first broadcasting license, as KGC, on December 8, 1921, in addition to tracing its history to the September 1920 operations of an earlier amateur station. The radio studios and offices—shared with KNX-FM, KCBS-FM, KROQ-FM, KRTH and KTWV—are located on Wilshire Boulevard, along Los Angeles' Miracle Mile. Source

No-burn order issued for much of Southland for Tuesday

The residential wood-burning ban will be in effect from midnight till at least 11:59 p.m. Tuesday.

L.A. County program offering free at-home COVID tests by mail

The L.A. County Home Test Collection Program offers nasal swab test kits from Picture Genetics to all “county residents who have COVID-19 symptoms or think they were exposed,” according to the L.A. Department of Public Health.
Los Angeles schools requiring staff and students to get COVID-19 baseline test

The semester begins Jan. 11. Students and employees must present proof of negative COVID-19 test that day. Employees and students can get a baseline test beginning Monday.
