Getting lost in a corn maze has never sounded more Dolly. Twenty farms across North America have created special Dolly Parton-themed corn mazes in celebration of the 31st anniversary of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. The mazes can be found across 15 states and two Canadian provinces, with a portion of ticket proceeds benefiting the beloved literacy program. The project had been in the works for months before Parton’s passing.

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo has announced the first round of entertainers for 2027, and the lineup already includes some big names in country and Texas music. Flatland Cavalry, Turnpike Troubadours, BlackHawk and Keith Urban are among the first artists confirmed for next year’s rodeo at the Frost Bank Center.

Apple TV has released the first trailer for “Brothers,” a new comedy starring McConaughey and Harrelson as fictionalized versions of themselves. Country music has lost one of its greatest voices, songwriters and ambassadors. Dolly Parton died Tuesday, August 25, in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 80, according to an official statement released by her family and team. Born Dolly Rebecca Parton on January 19, 1946, in East Tennessee, she rose from humble beginnings in the Great Smoky Mountains to become one of the most beloved and recognizable entertainers in the world.

Robert Earl Keen will host a special benefit concert for his longtime guitarist and friend Rich Brotherton on Wednesday, August 26, at Devil’s Backbone Tavern in Fischer. Applause for the Cause: A Night for Rich Brotherton will feature a full-band performance from Robert Earl Keen, with Race Ricketts opening the show. The benefit will support Brotherton, who is living with ALS. Proceeds from the event will benefit Brotherton as part of Applause for the Cause, Keen’s charitable giving initiative.

The Koe Wetzel x Round Rock Express collection is part of Official League’s 2026 Local Legends series, which pairs musicians with Minor League Baseball teams tied to their hometowns, roots and fan bases.

Dolly Parton added another honor to her long list Wednesday night, receiving the ACM Poet’s Award during the 19th ACM Honors in Nashville. Parton was unable to attend the ceremony in person, but accepted the award through a special video message shared during the show. The ACM Poet’s Award recognizes a songwriter for an outstanding body of work and lasting impact on country music, making it a fitting honor for one of the genre’s most celebrated storytellers.
