KONGSBERG has signed a contract for the delivery of further Joint Strike Missiles to the US Air Force. The contract has a value of about USD 100 million. Deliveries are expected to be completed by the end of June, 2030. The JSM is a 5th generation stealth air-to surface missile, which can be carried internally in the F-35A thus ensuring the aircraft’s low-signature capabilities. The JSM has been selected by Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan, Norway and the United States.
KONGSBERG and OCEANEERING Team Selected by U.S. Department of War to Support DIU CAMP Program for XLUUV
KONGSBERG and Oceaneering International, Inc. (OCEANEERING) today announced their selection by the U.S. Department of War’s Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) to support the Combat Autonomous Maritime Platform (CAMP) program, focused on the development of an Extra-Large Uncrewed Undersea Vehicle (XLUUV) for future U.S. Navy missions. The CAMP program accelerates the transition of mature commercial and defense technologies into operational naval capabilities.
CEO´s perspective: Record backlog, clear growth path
In the second quarter, KONGSBERG delivered revenue growth of 31 per cent compared with the same period in 2025. Profitability development was strong, with EBIT increasing by 49 per cent, driven by higher volumes and solid project execution across the company. Performance was particularly supported by revenue growth from major air defence, counter-drone and missile programmes. Activity levels remained high across all three divisions.
Q2 2026: KONGSBERG delivers a strong second quarter with increased revenue and solid profitability
KONGSBERG increased revenues by 31 per cent to NOK 10,389 million in the second quarter of 2026, compared to the corresponding quarter last year. Profitability improved, driven by higher volumes and strong project execution across the company’s three divisions. Strong demand for KONGSBERG’s technology and solutions, combined with good progress in key projects, contributed to a strong second quarter.

Belgium to order NASAMS air defence
At the NATO summit in Ankara, Belgium signed a cooperation agreement with the Netherlands to purchase modern, multi-layered air defense, that would include 10 NASAMS systems. “After twenty years without one, Belgium will rebuild its own powerful air defense capability with this joint purchase. This step is essential for the protection of our population and critical infrastructure,” said Belgium’s Defence Minister Theo Francken in a statement.

Canada becomes sixth nation to select Joint Strike Missile
KONGSBERG announced on 30 June a NOK 4.7 billion contract for the delivery of the Joint Strike Missile to an undisclosed customer. Canada has today announced that it is acquiring the JSM, making it the sixth customer to select the missile. By integrating the JSM into Canada’s next-generation fighter fleet, KONGSBERG will provide the Royal Canadian Air Force with a critical operational advantage. The contract was awarded by DALO, the Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation, which is responsible for the procurement, supply, maintenance, development and decommissioning of materiel capabilities, IT and services for the Danish Armed Forces and the Danish Emergency Management Agency. Great Belt VTS operates in a uniquely complex environment.
