The cost of living continues to rise, and sadly, while food, bills, and rent go up, most paychecks do not. Some sacrifices have to be made to eat, keep the lights on, and live a comfortable lifestyle, and most are not happy about it. There are certain bills you have to pay each month, such as electricity, water, and, for most, the internet is a top priority as well. Most know that Colorado is not a cheap state to live in, but how expensive is it?

Maybe it's because I grew up watching Unsolved Mysteries, but I am not an adventurer, and there are just some places in Northern Colorado that I always steer clear of. Abandoned houses, scary back roads, and spooky railroad crossings all make the creepy list. Fort Collins is a lovely place to live. Full of art, music, and culture, there's always something cool to see and do. But what about the spooky places that no one talks about?

Living in Northern Colorado in 2026, things are expensive. I don't have to tell you that, and you don't have to tell me. Groceries, gas, air. It's all just too much. Have you ever tried using apps? This isn't an ad of any kind, just something I'm figuring out. So let's take a look at some apps that will save you some serious cash. Again, not an ad. I saw this app on social media, so I'm sure it's kosher. Apparently, shopping can earn you money, which I've dreamt of my entire life.

Colorado has thousands of restaurants and hundreds of music venues, but there's no place that matches up to the Jamestown Mercantile Cafe. The current owner of the building that houses the Jamestown Mercantile Cafe (50 miles south of Fort Collins) wants to sell the two-story building and the building adjacent to it. That owner, however, is giving the Jamestown community the chance to buy it for the town. The community launched the "Save the Mer" crowdfunding campaign in about May of 2026.

When a band has been around for more than 50 years, it inevitably goes through lineup changes. Such is the case for Heart, which -- by our count -- has gone through a total of 18 different lineups during its existence. Heart will forever be linked with Ann and Nancy Wilson, the sisters whose impressive musicals talents helped launch the band to stardom. In their younger years, the girls were inspired by the Beatles, and immediately set about chasing their dream.

Sammy Hagar will celebrate his 79th birthday with three concerts at his Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The former Van Halen frontman will perform Oct. 9, 11th and 13th, with the latter being his actual birthday. "Sammy's Birthday Bash is always an open invitation to friends," his press release notes, "so you never know what special guests and surprise performances will happen throughout the weekend." Tickets to the highly popular annual shows will be sold via a random drawing process.

Of all the bars/restaurants/taverns in Colorado, one little bar in Downtown Loveland is known for selling the most Tullamore D.E.W. whiskey. Burk's Tavern at 188 East 4th Street in Downtown Loveland, opened in 2007 in a tiny spot between Cleveland Avenue and Railroad Avenue. Since opening, they've accumulated a great reputation and many fans.

Bob Dylan will keep up his rough and rowdy ways with a series of U.K. tour dates booked for late 2026. The folk-rock iconoclast will kick off his 10-show tour on Nov. 25 in Bournemouth, England, and conclude the run on Dec. 8 in London, the last of five consecutive dates at the Royal Festival Hall. Tickets for the new dates go on sale on Wednesday, July 22. The U.K. tour is in partnership with Yondr, and video cameras and mobile phones are once again prohibited.
