Monday, August 3: The Salt Lake Whale emerges with a new coat of paint from artist Jiyoun Lee-Lodge and her piece "Open Your Eyes". According to the National Education Association (NEA), costs for basic educational supplies increased by an average of 7.3 percent from the 2024-25 school year to 2025-26, placing an additional financial burden on families and teachers.

Salt Lake City singer, songwriter, guitarist and drummer Daniel Young is no stranger to KRCL listeners. You've heard songs from his recent release Another Golden Hour, as well as tracks from his 2024 full length album Leave it Out to Dry on 90.9. Daniel is also part of many Utah projects including as a drummer with The Hollering Pines and Paul Jacobsen's Local All Star tribute shows.
