This National Library Week, April 19th through April 26th, we highlight a project that is part of the American Archive of Public Broadcasting, a national effort supported by the Mellon Foundation, GBH in Boston, and the Library of Congress. All week long, we’ll be sharing more stories from the KUAC archives. Through a partnership between KUAC and the Alaska Film Archives at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Rasmuson Library, these programs have been digitized and preserved.

Updates air during Weekend Edition and after the KUAC morning newscasts on KUAC 89.9 FM.

Sara Tabbert is a printmaker and mixed media artist with deep roots in the Interior. Raised in Fairbanks from the age of two, she returned to the community in 2000 following 13 years of education and experience elsewhere. This has led to a life centered in Fairbanks and a career with a wide geographic reach.

On Saturday, February 14, we will have “Show KUAC the Love” Valentine’s greeting spots on KUAC 89.9 FM. This is a fun way to say Happy Valentine’s to your special Valentine, for a minimum gift of $100 for one spot. In the form, linked in the comments, you’ll give us the names to air. For example, “James to all KUAC listeners” “James to Kate”. Please add name pronunciations, for example, “Anna – An-Nah” or “Anna – Aw-nuh”.
