Lancaster University’s Distinguished Professor Nick Graham has been elected to become a Fellow of the Royal Society, one of the world’s most prestigious learned societies. With origins dating back to 1660, the Royal Society is the UK’s national academy of sciences and the world’s oldest scientific academy in continuous existence. Previous Fellows have included Stephen Hawking, Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, Albert Einstein, Lise Meitner, Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar and Dorothy Hodgkin.
