The Laramie County Sheriff's Office says an early morning incident that claimed the life of a 15-year-old boy on July 11 was not accidental and happened outside on the grounds of an elementary school. Sheriff's Office spokesman Brandon Warner says the shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. July 11 at Afflerbach Elementary School near the 400 block of West Wallick. When deputies arrived on the scene, they found a 15-year-old boy who was dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

The U.S. House on Tuesday voted for the Sunshine Protection Act by a margin of 308-117. The bill would institute Daylight Saving Time year-round in the U.S., although states could opt out.
