A Cheyenne resident who has taken an active role in the debate over data centers says the number of proposed data center projects in the area is "steamrolling" citizens.

LARAMIE -- Situational awareness has been absolutely abysmal around these parts. My mind immediately goes to the cluster you-know-what that transpired at the end of the Nevada game last November. The situation really was a simple one: Throw a touchdown or toss the ball out of bounds. Of course, neither one of those options panned out as Kaden Anderson fired a check down to running back Sam Scott, who was immediately met in the backfield.

If you put in the work, archery hunting, there's a great chance you'll be able to harvest one of Wyoming's great big game species. It takes a lot of time, practice, training, scouting, glassing, stalking, and watching your six to hunt, especially since we're living in bear country.

Located in the Wind River Range of Wyoming is the highest peak in Wyoming, Gannett Peak, which stands at 13,809 feet (4,209 meters). Climbing it is considered very difficult. The best times to attempt a climb are in July and August. That's when the weather is best, and there is little chance of snow on top. It's hard enough to get to, much less climb. There are some videos below of people who have made this journey. People have also died climbing Gannet Peak.

LARAMIE -- Hauss Hejny meticulously surveyed the defense. He didn't like what he saw as both Wyoming linebackers, Ethan Stuhlsatz and Gary Rutherford, crept toward the line of scrimmage. It appeared the visitors were bringing an all-out blitz. Even strong safety Brooklyn Cheek was slowly inching forward. It was indeed a "Cover Zero." And Colorado State made them pay, dearly.

LARAMIE -- Wyoming opens the home portion of the schedule on Saturday, hosting Northern Colorado of the Football Championship Subdivision in the annual "Stripe Out" of War Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m. and the game will be streamed exclusively on MW+. Saturday's tilt is also Band Day and Hall of Fame Weekend. Stripe Out The Stripe Out is back. A Stripe Out is again being planned for our home opening game as Wyoming takes on Northern Colorado.

LARAMIE -- The 24-hour rule isn't a suggestion. It's also easier said than practiced. It's been two days since Wyoming dropped its season opener in Fort Collins. That 35-13 setback still hasn't been digested by all inside that locker room despite the page being turned to Saturday's home opener against Northern Colorado. Jay Sawvel pointed to a number of critical mistakes postgame that he said cost his team against Colorado State.

Laramie Police are asking for the public's help in their investigation of an August 20 shooting. That's according to a post on the Laramie Police Department Facebook page. According to the post, the shooting happened in the 600 block of East Bradley Street. The post says "During the initial response, officers located evidence that multiple rounds had been fired in the area. Further investigation determined that a nearby residence had been struck by gunfire multiple times.
