Laurentian University

(Toronto, ON – March 2, 2026) – Today, at the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) Convention, Vale Base Metals and the United Steelworkers Local 6500 proudly announced a $450,000 pledge to Laurentian University. This funding will support the creation of the Dr. Leo Gerard Research Chair in Occupational Safety and Health, with a focus on the application to mining.

(January 14, 2026 – Sudbury, Ontario) - Laurentian University is proud to announce the next evolution of its School of Engineering and Computation, marking both the conclusion of the Bharti School naming term and the beginning of a new chapter for the renowned programs. For the past 15 years, the Bharti School of Engineering and Computation has stood as a symbol of excellence, innovation, and partnership.

If you’re new to Laurentian, you will need to create a student account. If you’re a returning student, you will be able to access your existing account. Log in to the portal, and in the Documents folder, review your acknowledgement letter.

The My Progress section in Student Planning displays the courses and the number of credits you need to complete to obtain your degree. Laurentian University’s Speech and Language Clinic offers quality rehabilitative services to people of all ages with communication and swallowing disorders living in Northern Ontario, while also providing students with clinical activities that allow them to bridge the gap between theory and practice. The goal of our clinic is to educate and shape future professionals while offering assessment and intervention services to the Northern Ontario Community.
