Evan J. Skujins was welcomed into the world on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 12:35 a.m. at Kaiser Permanente in Modesto, CA, to parents Mark and Silvia Skujins of Pioneer. Evan weighs 8 pounds and 13 ounces and measured 21.5 inches long. Evan was welcomed home by his brothers Noah P. Skujins - 1 year-old, and Mark D. Skujins Jr. - 11 years-old.

Carlos Robert Anaya Jr. was welcomed into the world on Friday, July 24, 2026 at 1:22 p.m. at Sutter Amador Hospital in Jackson, CA, to parents Cassandra Williams and Carlos Anaya of Jackson. Carlos weighed 8 pounds and 11 ounces and measured 20 inches long. Carlos was welcomed home by his siblings Lucy, Castiel, Chloe and Elijah and his grandparents Stacie and Marvina.

Join the UC Master Food Preservers on Thursday, August 27th, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and learn how to create a sourdough starter that can be used to make homemade sourdough bread and other baked goods.
