Am I Doing This Right? (Newsletter)

So uh… this week’s newsletter will unfortunately not be illustrated because guess who got her finger torn open by a metal fan? LOL. It’s me… My friend Kait said I belong in a Final Destination movie considering I always injure myself in the silliest fucking ways.

Remember how I’m trying out that silly three things from last week idea? Well, here are two more things from last week: I used to strictly be a perm girlie for a couple years before Covid. Unfortunately the pandemic took away my visits home to Taiwan where perms are cheap, abundant and also expertly executed. So my hair took a break for a couple years… But recently I had been getting bored of my straight hair and wanted to spice it up a little again.

Hello, hi, here are three things from last week that I thought you might like: Anyways, here is a very happy Adam with his froot ring: As you may know, I’ve been trying to spend less time on my phone. I made this whole comic about doing it: So after all that, I then proceeded to get addicted again while trying to get over my jetlag. OOPS! But now I’m trying to get back on track and one of the biggest excuses I had for myself to check my phone in the morning is to see what time it is.

After three months of dicking around in Baltimore, we’ve finally made the move over to Taiwan for the next couple of months!!! The last week has been a blur of moving and packing the last of our stuff into our storage unit.

We spent so much on these damn photos you best believe we’re going to show EVERYONE!!! Anyways, it was worth every penny as you’re about to see. Our photographer Justin absolutely killed it, I would highly recommend him if you’re on the lookout for a wedding photographer.

HELLO! It is finally time for me to officially reveal the cover for my NEXT author/illustrator PICTURE BOOK!!! It is called… Don’t Eat Eustace isa tale about a bear and a fish, named Eustace, that Bear is trying very hard to make their lunch.

Hi Cool Kids! I can’t believe June is over and it’s been nearly a month since we had our wedding! This last month has been a combination of highs and lows, busy times and wayyyy too leisurely times.

Let’s rewind a bit. The year was 2022. I was reading and ‘s Substacks and decided to start one myself: In 2022, it was still the middle of a pandemic: I was working on my first ever author-illustrator book: I finally got my green card: Many of you may not know, but I was severely depressed from around 2017 to 2022. My terrible thoughts swallowed me whole throughout my early twenties.

I still can’t believe my friends did all that for me!!!! It’s now my favorite shirt ever and they gave me 4 extra so I can wear one to death, give one to Adam and keep the other two to hang on a wall or something where it’ll never be exposed to the elements (my messy eating).
