GPO director presents FY2027 appropriations request to Congress
Washington, DC -- April 17, 2027. The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) Director Hugh Nathanial Halpern presented GPO's FY 2027 appropriations request before the U.S. House and U.S. Senate Subcommittees on Legislative Branch Appropriations this spring. Director Halpern requested appropriations in the amount of $132,000,000, an amount equal to GPO's FY 2026 appropriation. GPO operates as a business, and directly appropriated funds represent only about nine percent of GPO's revenue.
