Pophouse and KISS showcase Destroyer-inspired combat sports collection
Martial arts uniform and brand, Albino & Preto (A&P) has partnered with legendary rock band KISS on a collection inspired by the band’s landmark 1976 album, Destroyer. The capsule is the latest partnership to launch under KISS’s ongoing 50th anniversary celebration of the album, following the brand’s limited edition Destroyer collection earlier this year and continuing Pophouse’s ambition to bring KISS into new, unexpected categories.

The only consumer accolade in The Licensing Awards, the methodology for What Kids Love is from 01/06/2025 – 31/5/2026 for UK kids aged 3-12, looking at brands with the highest purchase (or purchase intent) related to their favourite characters.

Sun shines on The Light Fund Treasure Hunt as it raises over £8,000
Last night’s (8 July) Treasure Hunt in aid of The Light Fund was the most well attended – and hottest – on record, with the event raising £8,600 for the industry charity. Some 211 industry execs met at The Refinery in London’s Bankside, before heading out to hunt for clues – and maybe stop for the odd drink – at six pubs along the SE1 route.

The first thing I noticed in-store was the fairly large space given to greeting cards. They were merchandised in an area of the store near the entrance which was also selling newspapers, magazines and stationery. To a degree it felt like a shop in shop concept. Licensing featured prominently in the card offer with the likes of Disney and Marvel to the fore. It was also interesting to see KPop Demon Hunters in the range. Danilo has turned this opportunity round quickly.

The roll call of finalists for The Licensing Awards 2026 is continuing, with the shortlists confirmed for both Best Licensed Retail Marketing Initiative and Best Licensed Promotions Campaign. Entries for both categories were submitted online and then considered by members of a judging panel which comprised executives from the promotional, marketing, licensing and advertising fields.
