Life 96.5

Throughout January, hundreds of winter hats and scarves, mittens and gloves, and even warm socks were shared to help warm immigrants new to the Sioux Falls area. As men, women and children come to Caminando Juntos for information and assistance, they are blessed because of the donations of the cold-weather accessories from YOU and the Life 96.5 community. Thanks to the sponsorship of First Premier Bank, many people in need are benefitting from the kindness of their neighbors.

Thank you for your support of Alpha Center during January! The Sioux Empire’s Largest Baby Shower brought in thousands of new baby items to re-stock the beautiful Baby Boutique at Alpha Center and help bring HOPE to young women in unplanned pregnancies. Once again we continue to celebrate the power of generosity through those who dropped off brand new baby items at Lewis Drug Store locations and the Alpha Center offices, and also the many items delivered through the online Baby Shower Wish List.

Based on a true story, Ordinary Angels tells the story of a struggling hairdresser named Sharon in a small Kentucky town who discovers a new sense of purpose when she meets a widowed father working hard to care for his two daughters. With his youngest critically ill and waiting for a liver transplant, Sharon single -handedly rallies an entire community to help the family. Ordinary Angels will be in theaters beginning February 23rd.

At Life 96.5 we celebrate love—it’s part of who we are! During February, the month of all things LOVE related, we know that not everyone is feeling it.

Just wanted to thank you for all the uplifting joy and comfort you help bring along with the wonderful word of God. This morning my two boys Ezra and Brooks and I were on the way to daycare, and of course we listen to life 96.5. You had just spoken about psalm 91.1 and how we can go to him for refuge and emergencies and it sank deep with me and making me feel so grateful I know God and can call on him in everything I do as well as emergency services we have available.
