By: Kamryn Mutzelburg You have more influence than you think. When you hear the word “leader”, who comes to mind? A pastor? A CEO? A politician? Most of us tend to think of leadership as something reserved for people with a title, platform or position of authority. But the Bible presents a different picture. In God’s Kingdom, every Christian is a leader because every Christian has influence. Neil Johnson and Bible teacher Dr Kameel Majdali know the importance of leadership in a changing culture.

McCrindle’s latest education insights report found parents are equally likely to value updates about their child’s behaviour and social development (55 per cent) as they are updates about grades and academic results (55 per cent).

Nothing But God - 1039 Life FM Gippsland
By: Dr Eliezer Gonzalez Why do people who do wrong seem to prosper while I struggle? It’s easy for us to waver and doubt when we confront the unfairness of life. In Psalm 73, the psalmist describes how this almost brought him to ruin. I’ll let him describe his dilemma in his own words, Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart. But as for me, my feet had almost slipped; I had nearly lost my foothold. For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked (Psalm 73:1–3).

Thousands Still Missing in Nepal-Tibet Flood
By: Convoy of Hope A 5.2 magnitude landslide, paired with flash flooding, has devastated communities in the region. The fast-moving mud, debris and floodwaters wiped out entire communities in moments, catching both local families and travelers off guard. The death toll has risen to more than 350 people, with thousands still missing – including at least 39 Australians and 5 Kiwis. Convoy of Hope and other Australian charities and churches are asking for urgent prayer for the situation.
When the Mountain is You
By: Brian Harris Three Common Habits that Lead to Self-Sabotage. Most of us (and I include myself here) are instinctive blamers. When something goes wrong, it’s obvious whose fault it is. It’s theirs, and if it wasn’t for them, life would be so much better. The trouble is that every now and then we realise that that simply isn’t true. It is alleged that when asked the question “What’s wrong with the world?” the great G.K.Chesterton replied “I am”.
Help Not-Yet-Dads Think about “Dadding”
By: Stephen McAlpine Why young men need older men to lean on. A month before my dad left, he took this picture of mum and we four boys. We look so ill-prepared for the storm that was coming. I’m the older one in the jeans and blue shirt. This one caught me by surprise: In the past two years as my son has reached the age of 18, I have struggled with figuring out how to “dad” him well in this time of his life.

By: Tania Harris Why journaling your God conversations can change everything. How do you maintain an ongoing conversation with God? Let’s get practical for a moment. Hearing God’s voice is only part of the story. The real key is doing what the Spirit says– and that’s often the hard part. Partly, it’s because we forget. Our God conversations become a fleeting moment in the day, and soon after, as the distractions and busyness of life crowd in, we’ve lost what the Spirit said.
