Although he didn't figure in the decision in the Chillicohe Mudcats' July 11, 2026, 6-5 home win over the Clarinda (Iowa) A's, Mudcats left-hander Koby Wagers held the A's to two runs – neither earned – on five hits while striking out seven through his 6-innings start.

The Brookfield Athletic Booster Club is asking for additional volunteers and community support as it continues investing in Bulldog athletics while hoping to increase membership and volunteer participation. During a June meeting, club members discussed current projects, approved new purchases for athletic programs and outlined ways the community can get involved.

Chillicothe Mudcat Rafael Calcaño celebrates having circled the bases on one play to expand his team’s lead to 5-1 during the seventh inning of the team’s game at Trenton against the MINK League-leading Clarinda (Iowa) Athletics Tuesday (July 7, 2026). Calcaño sliced a triple past the right fielder and dashed home when the relay throw to third to try to retire him there got away. The Mudcats went on to win, 6-1.

U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley has launched a congressional investigation into what he describes as systemic mail delivery failures in Missouri, citing years of delayed deliveries, abandoned mail, executive compensation and possible criminal activity within the U.S. Postal Service. In a June 30 letter to Postmaster General David Steiner, Hawley announced the investigation after expressing dissatisfaction with the Postal Service’s response to concerns raised during a recent Senate hearing.
