In an April 9 press release, the United States Postal Service announced that it filed notice with the Postal Regulatory Commission for price changes to its mailing services that are to take effect July 12, 2026. The proposed changes have been approved by the Postal Service’s board of governors.

In a March 30 statement, Canada Post said it will replace door-to-door delivery with community mailboxes as part of several proposed changes to its operations. “Canada Post has reached an important turning point,” the statement said. “Our transformation will strengthen the postal service, allow us to be a better partner for businesses, and help us meet our dual mandate of delivering for all Canadians in a way that is financially self-sustainable.
Omniva, Estonia’s post and logistics company, commemorated 35 years of Baltic-Nordic cooperation with a March 23 stamp. The €1.80 domestic-rate stamp shows flags of Baltic and Nordic countries set among the branches of a tree. Esteemed stamp engraver Martin Mörck of Norway designed the stamp and Kaarel Kukk of Estonia designed the first-day cover and cancellation, another nod to cooperation between the two regions.
On April 24, the first day of Westpex 2026 in Burlingame, Calif., the United States Postal Service will issue the A Day at the Beach booklet of 20 nondenominated (78¢) forever stamps in four designs. A first-day ceremony for the new issue will take place at 10:30 a.m. Pacific Time in the Bayside I room of the San Francisco Airport Marriott Waterfront Hotel, 1800 Old Bayshore Highway in Burlingame. The April 18 first-day-of-issue ceremony for the United States Postal Service’s new Happy Birthday forever stamp in Providence, R.I., will be accompanied by a broader public event that expands the traditional format. In addition to the dedication ceremony, the USPS is partnering with the Greeting Card Association to host the Perfect Pairing Pop-Up Party, scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event brings together stamp collecting, contemporary stationery and greeting card design in a single venue.
