It’s hard not to be influenced when reading Reddit posts like these.

Illustration by The Post When I joined The Post from a financial admin job just under two years ago, my new boss promised me that my days of perusing reams of stultifying data were behind me. And yet here I am at my laptop, searching through double-figure tabs of graphs, charts, spreadsheets, and a live tracker of a steadily increasing number.

Good morning! Forty four years — that’s how long Paul Askew — most famous as chef patron and owner of restaurant The Art School — has spent in gastronomy. And what a near-half-century it’s been: from delivering innovative takes on British classics (a savoury version of carrot cake, say) to hosting the Queen for dinner at the Philharmonic Hall restaurant in the nineties.

But while the offence provoked is understandable, are Labour using these remarks to distract from the shortcomings for their plans for Sandhill station to accommodate the extra footfall?
